- 2 years of college or Certified Dietary Manager or High School diploma/GED with 2 years experience in demonstrated customer service such as previous commercial food service hostess or patient communication. Demonstrated outstanding customer service skills. Demonstrates professional communication skills during interview to effectively collaborate with nursing team. Oversees patient meal service operation and provides patient meal service on nursing units ensuring accurate, high quality service and good customer relations. Acts as Nutrition and Food Services liaison for patients. Coordinates the resolution of patient meal service issues by acting independently with good judgment, consulting with supervisory/management staff and clinical staff regarding recommendations or interventions. Assesses and documents patient's food and fluid intake for use as documentation in the medical record. Maintains the highest sanitation and infection control standards. Meets patient satisfaction expectations.
