The Clinical Respiratory Specialist is responsible for the orientation of Respiratory Care employees and oversees student rotations. Responsible for departmental education, in-services staff on new equipment operation and/or procedures and writes/updates departmental policy and procedures for administrative review/approval. Performs therapy and/or diagnostic procedures including difficult and unusual procedures.
Requirements: Graduate of an AMA-approved program of Respiratory Care required. Must be licensed to practice respiratory care in the state of Nebraska. Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. Minimum of two (2) years experience as a licensed practitioner required. Completion of all advanced practitioner competencies required. Credentialing in ACLS, NRP and PALS required. Instructor certification for these certifications preferred.
