Functions as a member of the Nutrition Care Team and provides basic services to patients including assisting patients with menu selections, entering choices into a Portable Diet Office (PDO) department computer program, obtaining food preferences, providing nourishments and editing menus according to diet prescription. Maintains patient nourishment record according to diet prescription and prints labels. The Clinical Nutrition Services Assistant assists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of Nutrition Services.
High school diploma required. Level II Food handlers permit required. 1-2 years Food and Nutrition Services experience as a Dietetic Assistant or equivalent preferred.
