- Primary Purpose: To maintain on a daily basis all hospital floors. Keep them sanitized and in an attractive condition.
Routine Decision Making: Makes decisions on what floors need to be done in the absence of the Environmental Services Supervisor.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines; knowledge of waste and infectious waste and chemicals; knowledge of proper use of personal protective equipment.
Required Skills and Ability: Knowledge of floor equipment operation and floor chemicals.
Unusual Working Conditions: Working with chemicals; risk of blood, body fluid contamination.
Education and Certification/ Registration Required for the Position: High school education and at least 1 year experience in floor care.
