Provides administrative and secretarial support for the Director and supports Fundraising and Volunteer efforts for the Program, performing duties as assigned. This individual will develop good working rapport with internal staff, volunteers and other external affiliates of Sarah's House as a representative of the Director. Produces and maintains all typed materials, including correspondence, reports, meeting records utilizing a computer. Prepares Sarah's House thank you letters, posters and fundraising announcements, and quarterly newsletter for the Director's approval/signature. Plans, organizes and implements special events at the request of the Director. Maintains schedule for the Director. Develops and maintains good working rapport with all internal staff, volunteers and external public relations contacts, including civic organizations and businesses. Researches and coordinates special projects including sending out invitations, receiving reservations, making bank deposits and sending thank you letters. Picks up and distributes mail on a timely basis. Maintains reviews and keeps files current, shredding documents as needed. Processes check requests, bank deposits for special events, etc. Sets up and maintains program specific databases and statistics. Compiles and maintains statistical data and evaluation responses, and produces and distributes reports using this data. Produces high quality documents/reports/flyers, including materials using desktop publishing programs such as Microsoft Publisher. AA degree preferred, high school graduate required plus five years of varied secretarial/administrative experience. Must have excellent typing skills and be computer literate in work processing, Excel, and be able to learn other programs and applications. Desktop Publishing and Power Point preferred. Excellent verbal and communication skills and the ability to work professionally with a diverse population.
