PACE Transport
The shuttle driver provides transportation services for PACE Transport under the general direction of the Coordinator or Supervisor. Must function well in a team environment, possess good organizational and communication skills and be able to provide safe transportation for the participants to and from the PACE center or for patients to and from Centra facilities. The shuttle driver will only act within the scope of his/her authority to practice.
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or GED
This is a PACE transport position
Certification/Licensure Requirements
Valid Virginia driver's license.
Needs to be completed prior to the end of the orientation period and before being released to drive solo:
• CPR
• First Aid
• Transfer, Stair, and Gait training
• Wheelchair training
• Fall prevention training
• Bed Mobility
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC).
• For ground transport drivers only: Needs to be completed prior to the end of the orientation period and before being released to drive solo.
• For PACE drivers only: Needs to be completed within the first six (6) months of hire.
