    RN Coordinator Brain & Spine/Stroke Program

    The Coordinator of Neurology Quality is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for the oversight of organizational participation in selected national benchmark quality neurology registries. He/she is accountable for coordinating data collection, report preparations, data distribution and data analysis leading to process improvements. They will ensure that accurate data is available for Centra constituents to use to manage unit or division level performance for quality metrics and certifications, accreditations and pay for performance data. This role will serve as the contact person for national certification and accreditation bodies. They will also assist with chart reviews and other methods to work with the members of Performance Improvement.

    This role is also responsible for the programmatic development of Centra's Stroke program including the planning, organization and implementation of clinical quality process improvements specific to the Stroke population. He/she will assess, plan, develop and deliver needed educational sessions throughout Region 3, especially as pertaining to the educational needs of EMS providers in our local and surrounding service areas. The Quality Coordinator works collaboratively with other health team members to provide continuity of care to the Stroke patients from pre-hospital to transition from hospital to home and will be available to consult, support and educate nursing personnel.

    Required Education:

    Must hold a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing

    Preferred Education:

    Master's degree in Nursing

    Required Experience:

    Required to have at least two years experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).

    Preferred Experience:

    Five years experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).

    Certification/Licensure Requirements:

    Hold a current, active license as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a Registered Nurse.
