PSYCHIATRIC INPATIENT THERAPIST
Adult Psych Unit
Full-Time (36+ hours) · Days 8a -5p
Monday-Friday 8a-5p
The purpose of this position is to provide ongoing support and expertise through comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and overall evaluation of individual patient needs. The overall goal of the position is to enhance the quality of patient management and satisfaction, to promote continuity of care and cost effectiveness through the integrating and functions of case management, utilization review and discharge planning. The Inpatient Social Worker must be highly organized professional with great attention to detail, adaptable to frequent change, and compliant with regulatory and departmental guidelines and policies. Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, including trauma informed care framework. Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health and substance use)
Required Education
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field from accredited university
Required Experience
Two (2) years of experience in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting.Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Certification/Licensure Requirements
LCSW preferred. LPC considered with two years of acute inpatient psychiatry experience.
