  • Insurance Follow Up Specialist I 

    The Insurance Follow-up Specialist I calls insurance companies and patients if necessary to request payment of outstanding balances using established collection procedures. Reviews assigned patient accounts to ensure insurance and demographic information proration and/or system parameters are correct; makes appropriate changes to correct if required. Works with patient accounting staff to communicate collection needs and to resolve patient accounts.

    Minimum two years medical office or hospital billing experience is required.

    High school graduate or equivalent is required.  Some college preferred.
