Performs a variety of imaging procedures and computed tomography examinations. Responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Performs fluoroscopy or localizing procedures as directed by physician orders. Performs necessary warm-up procedures on equipment, restocks room at end of shift so areas are adequately supplied for efficient patient care.
Education & Training:
Completion of Radiological Technology program of study.
Registration or eligibility for registration with the ARRT with certification by the State of Kentucky required. If certified by the State of Kentucky prior to 1978, candidates are grandfathered into the profession and registration with the ARRT is not required.
