Registered Professional nurse whom in conjunction with the Director of Trauma and Emergency Services, the ED Administrative Manager, Trauma Program Manager, ED Medical Director and the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordinator develops, coordinates and provides education and training to pre-hospital care providers and some nursing personnel both in house and out of house. He/she represents the hospital to the EMS community in a positive manner, recognizes the special needs of children and advocates for children in the community. He/she is responsible for assessing the educational needs of the ED staff as it relates to the EMS community as well as assessing the educational needs of the EMS community as it relates to pediatric care. He/she will schedule EMS students for mentoring in the ED. Serves as a change agent, initiating and evaluating new trends in pediatric EMS care and serves as an educational resource to the hospital and EMS community.
Bachelor’s degree/diploma in nursing, 5 years experience, RN licensure in the state of Ohio, CPR certification and computer skills.
