1-2 years experience required
Provide operational management and direction of Nursing Informatics including all dashboard information, oversight of accreditation standards as applicable to patient care, streamlining forms processes, optimizing patient care outcomes through clinical policy management; facilitate patient/family education, and ensuring accurate and appropriate medical record documentation. Provides oversight and guidance to maintain hospital certification with JCAHO regulations, taking an active or strategic role to ensure a continuous state of compliance and readiness for accreditation surveys. Actively supports the definition and reporting of performance improvements initiatives within the division of nursing and strategically from a hospital operations perspective. Plays a leadership role in identifying standards of nursing excellence using magnet status standards and other national benchmarks as guidelines. Functions as the nursing liaison from hospital operations for nursing dashboard information. Initiates the implementation of adhoc teams or performance improvement projects to meet patient/family, hospital, or community needs, as related to or clinical information systems or information management. Works collaboratively with outside vendors as needed. Master’s Degree and 1-2 years in information management processes required. Current RN license in the state of Ohio Certificate, clinical skills and knowledge required. In addition, attending training and obtain Epic certification required. Preferred 3-4 years of experience in pediatrics and knowledge of patient care delivery processes. Also preferred is Certification in Informatics or Information Management, pediatric or CIS implementation experience.
