Develops, maintains and communicates a comprehensive employee health and wellness program in conjunction with the needs of the hospital population. Assures a safe working environment by coordinating pre-placement exams, and surveillance exams as mandated by regulatory agency requirements, including OSHA, ADA and JCAHO. Manages the worker’s compensation program and maintains the OSHA log. Provides disability management services and serves as a consultant to employees about return to work and transition duty. Coordinates the employee assistance program. Is involved with infection control, safety, disaster preparedness committees and a variety of levels of employee education and wellness activities. Manages the employee health staff and ensures that all activities are provided within budgetary perimeters. Utilizes independent judgment and collaborates with all areas of the hospital. Responsible for the completion of quarterly and annual metric benchmarking. Participates in annual HR goal setting and is responsible for quarterly and annual goal updates and functional/departmental goal accomplishments. Is a member of the human resources leadership team and provides guidance and direction to the HR team as needed. This is a full-time exempt management level position with two direct reports - two part-time non-exempt RN's. Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience. RN preferred and proficiency with MS Office Products and excellent communication skills required. Occupational/Healthcare experience preferred.
