Job Summary:
The School Program Assistant serves as Instructional Aide/Administrative Assistant to the Children’s Hospital Oakland School Program, and is accountable to the Manager of Child Life Services.

Job Requirements: 
Minimum education: A.A. degree/B.A./B.S. preferred. 
Minimum experience: One year of direct patient care experience with children of special needs population. 
Preferred Education: Basic college courses 
Preferred Experience: Pediatric health care setting
Preferred Field-of-Expertise: Knowledge of computerized office systems, academic statistical record keeping, and interactive educational programming. 
Skills: Machinery: Advanced computer skills; soft/hardware, technology/digital technology. 2 years experience handling wide range of office duties in related setting.

Physical Requirements:
Sit: Up to 6 hours/day
Stand/Walk: Up to 6 hours
Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours
Reach: Up to 6 hours
Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs., over 25# with assistance or equipment
