Responsible for managing a robust portfolio of major-gift prospects and donors, and for leading a systematic major-gifts program.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.  Advanced academic degree or credential preferred.
Experience:  Ten years active professional fundraising experience with five years in a leadership role. Five years experience working in a sophisticated major-giving program with personal successes in the cultivatin and close of major gifts.  Experience with capital campaigns, and healthcare or higher education, preferred.Demonstrated experience with information systems to support major-gift fundraising activities.  Demonstrated track record of managingcontact officers. Experience in health care or higher education preferred.
Knowledge:  Strong interpersonal skills, self-confidence and assertiveness, diplomacy, teamwork, good judgment, and respect for confidentiality. Ability to represent the Foundation and lead the major gift staff.  Readiness to travel outside the office.  Occasional evening and weekend work required, as is flexibility to adjust to other needs of the department.
