Job Summary:
The staff coordinator (PSA) assures twenty-four (24) hour staffing coverage for all in-patient nursing units by maintaining and monitoring systems required by union contracts, specific nursing units, and hospital policies and procedures. This position also serves to coordinate between physicians, the Emergency Department, nursing units and staff, the most efficient, appropriate and convenient acceptance and placement of patients into the hospital utilizing the principles of infection control.

Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent GED
Minimum Experience: Post High School vocational/specialized training preferred. At least six months to a year experience in a hospital or registry staffing setting.
Knowledge Skills: Knowledge of automated RN staffing system preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi task and work under pressure with interruptions. Proven knowledge and experience with personal computers.
