1 Year of Experience Required
The HIM Analyst performs specialized clerical and technical functions necessary to organize, maintain, and use patient medical records. Answers telephones and performs a variety of customer service functions within the department. The HIM Analyst will typically specialize in one or more of the essential functions described below. All HIM Analysts are expected to demonstrate competency in all functions. Specific assignments will vary from day to day depending on the needs of the department.
Experience: One to two years of related experience
Education: Minimum: High School/GED required. College education, particularly in Health Information Technology preferred.
Skills / Abilities: Knowledge of medical record standards of practice including, but not limited to Release of information, filing systems, analysis, abstracting, and information retrieval, Strong organizational abilities and mental agility, ability to work well in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Other requirements: Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as needed.

Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 8 hrs
Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment
