Primarily responsible for managing Foundation communications and events, along with associated development service areas.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. 
Experience:  Ten years experience of progressively productive leadership in the following areas: communications, fundraising and management.  Experience in healthcare preferred. Demonstrated familiarity with development programs and campaigns.  Demonstrated knowledge and utilization of information systems to support fundraising activities preferred.
Knowledge:  Strong writing and management skills. Strong collaboration and team-orientation skills. Flexibility and ability to adapt to emerging changes in a rapidly changing environment.  Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Familiarity with news/editorial writing styles, such as Associated Press or Chicago Manual of Style. Strong interpersonal skills, self-confidence and assertiveness, diplomacy, teamwork, good judgment, and respect for confidentiality.  Ability to represent the Foundation to external audiences through the use of strong verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to travel outside the office, occasional evening and weekend work, and to adjust to other needs of the department.
