Telehealth Coordinator plays a key role in successfully initiating, implementing, and maintaining ongoing Telehealth operations. Also assists in communications for recruitment of physicians, establishment of practice and publicity of medical specialists for Telehealth.
Education: High school diploma or GED. Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program or other health profession degree, preferred.
Experience: One year related Telehealth experience and/or 2 years experience in outpatient clinic administration.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Ability to establish constructive working relationships with all levels of management and employees in a staff of varied and diverse backgrounds. Ability to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent, and equitable manner. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to promote effective communication between the patient and the primary care provider. Proven experience in accurately reading and recording patient chart documentation. Ability to work as a member of a team in order to communicate and/or solicit pertinent information to and from other team members and support team decisions. Ability to operate the video conferencing equipment and troubleshoot when necessary. Ability to train users on the video conferencing equipment. Understanding of ICD-9/10 requirements, familiarity with patient scheduling and billing.
