REQUIRED: High School graduate or equivalent. 1-2 years of registration experience in a clinical environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, diagnosis codes and insurances. SUMMARY: Responsible for obtaining and verifying patient demographic and insurance information during the pre-registration process. Pre-Registration Specialists will minimize the financial risk of providing services by assessing the patient's financial status, verifying all account information and obtaining applicable patient payments prior to services being provided. Excellent customer service skills are utilized in all dealings with patients, physician offices and third party payers. These functions are performed in accordance with the facility's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.
