High school diploma or equivalent is required
DUTIES: Participates in a patient-focused team approach of providing direct and collaborative health care in a variety of clinical settings designed to promote and restore optimal health across the life span. Performs a variety of technical, para-professional, rehabilitative or therapeutic procedures and activities relating to patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. As a member of the health care team will carry out individualized programs of restorative/rehabilitative/ therapeutic activities. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must have completed a CNA training class and/or completed Fundamentals of Nursing in a nursing program. Neonatal Resuscitation Certification in Women/Child Care Centers only. Must pass annual telemetry exam with a 90 or above. Minimum 1 year recent experience as nursing attendant. Completion of program in phlebotomy and EKG's preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to operate simple medical equipment such as EKG machine. Ability to use needles for drawing blood. Ability to access and navigate clinical computer system. Ability to communicate in a tactful, diplomatic way. Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality. Willingness to upgrade skills with evolvement of technology. Must be able to lift and position patients. Excellent verbal and auditory skills required for communicating clearly and effectively with patients, physicians, families, care team members, other hospital departments.
