High school diploma or equivalent is required
DUTIES: Performs a variety of technical, para-professional, rehabilitative or therapeutic procedures and activities relating to patient care such as, but not limited to, providing skin care maintenance, performing procedural and diagnostic preps, maintains airway clearance, takes vital signs. Prepares patient and equipment for procedure, performs post-mortum care duties, performs phlebotomy services, performs EKG's. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or GED equivalency required. Must have completed a CNA training class and/or completed Fundamentals of Nursing in a nursing program. Must have 1 year recent experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care emergency department. Must be certified in phlebotomy and EKG's. BLS certification required. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent technique in performing phlebotomy and taking EKG's essential.
