The Staff Chaplain is responsible for the delivery of care to patients and their families, and as appropriate for staff. Assists patients to understand more fully life's events as they relate to their spiritual and emotional well-being. Ensures that the religious needs of patients, families and loved ones are met in areas to which assigned.
· Bachelor's degree is required.
· Graduate degree preferred in Theology or a related discipline.
· 4 units CPE required.
· It is strongly preferred that an individual be certified and in good standing with a pastoral care cognate group recognized by COMISS/JCAPS, i.e., NACC or ACPE, and have documented equivalent in education, training and experience, with evidence of relevant continuing education.
