The RN, Inpatient Rehabilitation provides direct and indirect patient care in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/Rehabilitation Services/coworkers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Requirements: Current state Registered Nurse Licensure. Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing preferred. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Must agree to become F.I.M. certified within 1 year. F.I.M training will be provided. At least one year med surg or rehab experience preferred. Must be able to function as charge nurse and also be able to collaborate with other disciplines to develop and implement multidisciplinary plan of care for patients requiring rehabilitation for stroke, brain injury, trauma, and other debilitating illnesses.
