The Coding Quality Reviewer (CQR) performs internal quality assessment reviews to ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and Central Maine Healthcare coding policies, for complete, accurate charges and consistent coding which result in appropriate reimbursement and data integrity. Works with the coding team to improve the accuracy, integrity and quality of patient data, to ensure minimal variation in coding practices and improve the quality of physician documentation within the body of the medical record to support code assignments. Works with the Coding Quality Supervisor to provide coder specific education and global coding education based on the quality monitoring review findings and trends
· High School graduate or equivalent.
· 3 or more years of previous coding experience
· Valid Coding certification required: CPC, RHIT, CCS, CIC .
