Job Summary: The RMO was formed by Central Maine Healthcare to be the function that will coordinate, organize, monitor and support all activities across the system related to the strategic repositioning. As part of the RMO, the clinical project manager functions as a subject matter expert and directly supports defined repositioning initiatives for the Central Maine Medical Group (CMMG) and/or CMH member hospitals.   Independently managing projects of complexity, the clinical project manager will work with senior leadership to support defined repositioning work plans, timelines and milestones for work streams as well as ensures alignment of RMO projects with the short-and long-term enterprise business objectives. This position also drives the implementation of best practices that support the development of programs that deliver optimal patient care, safety, resource utilization, and outcomes. These projects will result in measurable improvements that will impact clinical, administrative, financial systems, and/or the infrastructural systems and that will benefit our patients, families and staff. Work requires initiative, independent judgment and discretion.



Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Management, or related fields.


Additional Requirements: This is a highly strategic and facilitative role that requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, excellent oral and written communication skills and strong project management and analytical skills. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


Experience and Education:

·         At least (three (3) to five (5) years) of project management experience; or experience in an operational and/or financial functional area; or any equivalent.

·         Project management certification preferred but, not required.

·         Experience in facilitating Clinical Operations Improvement Initiatives.
