SURGICAL ONCOLOGY DIVISION CHIEF CENTRAL MAINE MEDICAL CENTER With a dual appointment to the Massachusetts General Hospital Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) seeks a full-time surgical oncologist to serve as Chief of its Surgery Division and Medical Director of Surgical Oncology. Successful candidates should possess an MD or MD, PhD, possess excellent leadership skills, clinical expertise and a successful background in program development. The Chief will have dual reporting responsibilities to the Massachusetts General Hospital Chief of Surgical Oncology to enhance cancer care at the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Established in 1891, Central Maine Medical Center is a 250-bed tertiary care center and the premiere hospital for Central Maine Healthcare. CMMC operates the busiest Emergency Department in Central Maine, annually serving approximately 50,000 patients. Nearly 8,000 elective surgeries are performed a year with an additional 800 trauma patients. The division of surgical oncology includes sections of colorectal surgery, GI, breast surgery, thoracic, and head and neck.
