Job Summary: The Quality Improvement Specialist assists the Manager of Ambulatory Quality in the development, implementation and oversight of ambulatory quality improvement initiatives within Central Maine Medical Group. The Specialist supports the Manager of Ambulatory quality in designing new workflow, administering project workgroups and implementing transformative tests of change that support the delivery of safe, reliable, high-quality care for every patient every day. This role supports compliance with regulatory and programmatic reporting requirements and obtains and maintains appropriate national practice recognitions. The Quality Improvement Specialist will also assist with the administrative support of the Integrated Care Management Department.

 

Educational/Experience Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field preferred

·         Experience in LEAN and change management/process improvement required

·         3 -5 years-experience in a medical office setting. Ambulatory experience preferred.

·         Knowledge of current healthcare quality metrics and initiatives preferred

Skills:

·         Ability to manage priorities and maintain multiple projects at one time is necessary

·         A high level of adaptability to change is required

·         A high level of interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with customers, management and vendors.

·         A high level of interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, management and vendors.

·         A high level of organization skills necessary for project support and assistance.
