Stroke Program Coordinator

Job Summary:The Central Maine Healthcare Stroke Coordinator is responsible for the development and coordination of Central Maine Healthcare accredited stroke centers. The coordinator is the lead facilitator for stroke services for the market hospitals, physicians, external agencies, facilities, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. The stroke coordinator ensures quality care for the stroke patient throughout the continuum. The coordinator works with the stroke medical director in collaboration with the stroke leadership teams and members to assure standardization of excellence and care for the stroke patient. This care encompasses clinical treatment, decisions and diagnosis for in-patients and the transfer of patients to appropriate sites of care throughout the system.  In addition the coordinator is responsible for achieving and maintaining The Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center Certification as well as relevant quality measures and regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements:

Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

           BSN required

Current active RN license in Maine

Current BLS

Current ACLS
