Job Summary: The Phlebotomist is responsible for assisting in the procurement and processing of biological specimens from patients for analysis in the Outpatient practices and to perform supportive tasks in the maintenance of related records and facilities. The phlebotomist works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and accepts direction from supervisory and technical staff. The position also involves effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements: Phlebotomy Certification is preferred. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required upon hire or within 90 days of employment. High School Diploma required and strong background in biology and chemistry preferred.
