Job Summary:


Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is seeking an experienced, bold and operationally sound leader to serve as Head of Talent Acquisition for Central Maine Healthcare.  Reporting to the VP, Chief Human Resources Officer of Central Maine Healthcare, the leader will have oversight of both staff and provider talent recruitment.  This leader will be responsible for developing and formalizing an integrated approach to recruitment throughout the system. 

 

 This position will heavily support the strategic and financial transformation with the goal of becoming a more integrated, value-driven organization. Talent Acquisition (TA) responsibilities will cover CMH's hospital facilities of Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital, with some shared responsibilities for recruiting for remote sites shared with HR Business Partners team members.  In addition to its three acute facilities and CMMG, this position also supports the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, located at CMMC and Central Maine Medical Group (CMMG) as a primary and specialty care organization currently comprised of over 400 providers with 84 clinics serving 17 communities throughout Maine

The Head of Talent Acquisition will be a critical component for the "activation" of CMHC's culture and values through the design and execution of Talent Acquisition strategies. He/she will be an important member of the HR Leadership Team, will be a key contributor to the overall direction and success of the HR organization and will play an integral role in shaping and leading the continued refinement of the Human Resources function at CMHC.

The Head of Talent Acquisition will work directly with senior leadership, and partner closely with HR Business Partners and other COEs, in leading the design and execution of CMMC's Talent Acquisition strategies and operational activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10  or more years of best-in-class HR practices experience with a strong preference for a background working in both Provider Recruitment as well as the Staff Recruitment space
  • Competency using an established set of proven Talent tools established while working in best-in-class HR functions along with the demonstrated ability to adapt these tools to new and different work environments
  • Deep knowledge, practical experience and a track record of success implementing talent acquisition practices
  • A hands-on professional who can think both creatively and conceptually
  • The ability to manage complex issues in a quickly changing environments
  • A strong sense of urgency driven by a passion to exceed goals and objectives
  • Superior communication and presentation skills as well as exceptional program and project management skills
  • The demonstrated ability to maintain the highest degree of security and confidentiality
  • Experience in healthcare is beneficial
  •    Managerial experience is highly preferred

·         Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and analytical skills is required 

·         Knowledge of labor, EEO, government sanction screening and other employment related laws and legal requirements required

EDUCATION

·         Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Administration or a related field.  Advanced degree in Human Resources, management, business or a related field preferred

·         HR Certifications (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
