Job Summary: The Scheduling and Patient Service Representative for CMHVI is responsible for accurate coordination and implementation of scheduling, registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, telephone management, pt portal management and patient discharge ( check –out) process for various hospital departments and provider locations within CMHVI. Those departments include, CT/Vascular Surgery and Vein Center, Wound Care Center, Cardiac Diagnostics, Vascular Lab and Cardiopulmonary Rehab (Y1 area). The S/PSR schedules complex procedures coordinating the appropriate resources needed for each patient. The scheduling can include Coordination and Collaboration with up to five different resources.. The job responsibilities requires completing multiple tasks simultaneously. Provide exceptional customer service, to our Patients, Providers, and all Departments.
Requirements: High School graduate. Minimum of two years relevant experience knowledge of scheduling, registration , and medical terminology preferred. Understanding of various insurance plan requirements, government agencies, Medicare and Medicaid.
Must demonstrate the ability to comfortably use a variety of software programs. High level of interpersonal communication skills required. Must be detail oriented with exceptional organizations skills.
