Job Summary:

Participates as a member of the HR Leadership Team, supporting, leading and implementing strategic and operational initiatives. Ensures the provision of a full range of HR support and resources to the operational leaders of the organization. The Director will also have a dual role as a Sr. Business Partner (HRBP) for one or more business units of the organization, managing the relationship between HR and the business unit, partnering/brokering with HR functional areas to deliver the initiatives and solutions that enable business performance.  This HRBP role provides operational management with highly focused HR support, focusing on organizational performance and effectiveness initiatives ( i.e. performance management,  employee engagement, team effectiveness, team building, succession planning, leadership development, change management) that will enable high performance, ultimately impacting the organizations core mission. As the Sr. HRBP to an assigned CMH entity, this position will partner with senior strategic  leadership to develop and deliver the client organization's Human Capital Plan in alignment with business strategies and goals.    The Director  collaborates with other the HR professionals to ensure consistency of HR philosophy standards and policies. This role will keep the Chief Human Resources Officer apprised of critical operating and climate issues to ensure HR strategies are linked to the business objectives and challenges. 


Education, Experience and Skills:

·         Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred

·         10 years of  progressively more responsible experience in Human Resources Management or HR  Business Partner experience.



·         Solid understanding of HR functions, practices, policies, employment law and regulations, employee relations experience and demonstrated  experience in a Business Partner role


·         Demonstrated ability to develop key partnerships with Sr. Leaders, developing a trusted advisor relationship, and the ability to influence business decisions


·         Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening) with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees including practioners and medical groups. Able to effectively present and facilitate in group settings.

·         Strong influencing ability, built by strong working relationships, with a track record of relationship building at all levels of the organization

·         Business Acumen - the ability to understand business functions and metrics within the organization and industry


·         Demonstrated consulting and coaching ability, providing  direct guidance to organizational leaders  on a variety of situations or circumstances,  building a trusted advisor relationship



·         Problem Solving ability to gather appropriate data and diagnose the cause of the problem and recommend solutions   


·         Ability to think creatively and strategically, but also capable of delivering on tactical responsibilities



·         Strong organization, follow-through and project management skills
