Job Summary: The Clinical Coordinator performs, coordinates, and supervises clinical functions for the practice. Collaborates as needed with other health care disciplines to meet the needs of the patient and/or family, with the goal to achieve patient care excellence. Demonstrates and promotes the organization's philosophy of excellent customer service and high quality care. The Clinical Coordinator acts as the patient's advocate, manages supplies and equipment, and promotes teamwork with staff, providers, and personnel in other departments. The Nurse practices in accordance with CMMG'S Clinical Policies and Procedures, and operates within the Maine Nurse Practice Act. Participates and manages performance improvement (PI) activities within the department and leads PI initiatives withing OB/GYN. Coordinator will assist with formulating the budget for the department in collaboration with the Practice Manager. Assists in program development including marketing, patient education, and collaboration with inpatient nursing staff. Leads and coordinates all activities that impact the quality of care for our patients and the community. Supervises all clinical staff in Lewiston and Tophsam, and facilitates coordination of the team of providers.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine. BSN preferred. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required. Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred. Minimum of two years of nursing management experience preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in physician's office preferred.
Proficient computer knowledge, with Microsoft Word, Excel experience. Experience with Centricity preferred. Operates different equipment utilized in the practice.
