Central Maine Internal Medicine, outpatient-only practice located in the CMMC campus, in Lewiston, Maine offers an exciting practice opportunity to an experienced Nurse Practitioner. This office based position offers a 4 day work week, 32 hours/week, outpatient only call (weekend call approximately 1:7) The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary healthcare to patients and families, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education and counseling. Responsible for assisting in the coordination of patient care by the health care team, taking into account the biophysical, psycho-social, spiritual, environmental, self-care, educational needs of the patient and family. Acts as the patient's advocate; coordinates and facilitates all resources necessary to ensure clinical needs are met and outcomes achieved; promotes teamwork with staff, physicians, and personnel in other departments; and supports the values of CMMC. Minimum Requirements: Current Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse License in the State of Maine, Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, national certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Prefer Clinical experience working in either ICU or Internal Medicine for the adult population. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
Full Time, 8:00am-5:00pm. This position includes rotation of call-Out Patient Only.
