Job Summary: The PAT RN provides direct and indirect patient care in the office practice setting. This RN provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with minimal supervision. Responsible to facilitate an efficient, clinically effective interface between the patient and the health care team to ensure quality, customer focused preadmission testing processes prior to surgery. Through utilizing a working knowledge of clinical diagnosis and surgical procedures the PAT RN will provide patient assessment, testing, education, and the development of a plan of care. The PAT RN is responsible for documentation in electronic record, and functions as a liaison between all members of the health care team internally and externally to ensure coordination of quality patient care.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with minimum of 1 year Med Surg experience. Current RN license within the state of Maine. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification. ACLS Preferred.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
