Job Summary:  The CNIO examines and clarifies the forces that affect current and future needs relative to clinical informatics and provides Clinical Informatics leadership for the Central Maine Healthcare System.  (S)he serves as a liaison between the CMH system and the Clinical Information Systems IT teams to communicate clinical user needs and facilitate system modifications to meet quality standards and ensure safe patient care. The CNIO expresses a clear vision for future clinical IT opportunities and creates linkages between current and future activities.  This individual has a systems perspective and is able to deal with complexity. In addition, the CNIO effectively works with diverse members of the organization and is able to identify, align and optimize resources despite real or perceived boundaries. 



·         MSN or Masters in Informatics required


·         Current and active RN license


·         American Nurses Credentialing Center- Nursing Informatics

·         CPHIMS optional

Work Experience:

·         Leadership- 5 years

·         Informatics- 5 years

·         Clinical – 5 years
