The RN in Cardiac Rehabilitaiton provides direct patient care in the Cardiac Rehablitiation Department. Monitors patients during procedures/exercises for the detection of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities. Maintains the preventative and restorative health needs for the patients. Provides patient education on disease entities. Communicates with the physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition including laboratory tests, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the state of Maine. Two or more years recent experience in critical care/cardiac care. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS and BCLS certifications required.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
