Job Summary:  The RN, Cardiac Special Procedures Area, provides direct and indirect patient care in the Cardiac Special Procedures Area setting.  Communicates with physicians about changes in patients' clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.  Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.  Additionally, performs general nursing duties in all Invasive Cardiac Procedure departments with adequate supervision.  Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.

Requirements:  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.  Current state Maine Registered Nurse Licensure.          Two or more years of recent critical care experience, preferred.  Successful completion of critical care course and 12 lead interpretation class within one year of hire, basic arrhythimia class within 6 months of hire.  Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS, and BCLS certification required.  Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.  Certification in Critical Care (CCRN) desired within 2 years of hire. 

Skills:  Basic computer knowledge.  Proficient in interpreting ECG.
