Greet and assist all patients / visitors within the office & by phone. Responsible for the overseeing daily operations of the practice. Responsible for overseeing employees productivity & compliance with office policy & procedures. Privacy officer. Schedule management of all practitioners - office & surgery. Open mail & distribute accordingly. Order supplies for front office – price comparison & periodic inventory review. Review all invoices for accuracy of received supply & billed amount. Review lab invoices (Quest, SEPA & CRMC) for correct billing. Bill any additional tests performed. Complete adjustments as needed. Enter daily charges for all practitioners. Validate that all required Hospital documents are received for billing in a timely manner. Copy & forward for billing. Responsible for ensuring that all required forms for surgery billing are completed accurately & timely. Verify the Surgery book monthly for confirmation that all planned admits have been billed for. Review all new patient charts for accuracy on information entered in patient registration & documented in chart. Responsible for sending termination/discharge certified letters to patients after physician approval. Assist patients in accounts / insurance problems / payment plans. Follow up on past due accounts. Responsible for gathering necessary information to process refund requests. Assist in all areas of the office as needed.
Excellent customer service skills are required. High school diploma or GED required. Excellent computer skills required. Knowledge of diagnoses/procedures in accordance with ICD-9 coding principles is required. Skills in overall practice management ranging from scheduling to entering daily charges.
