Position Summary:


Operationally responsible for the revenue integrity of Confluence Health. Oversees Patient Access, Coverage Team, Revenue Cycle Operations, Coding and Payment Teams.


 Essential Functions:

  1. Provides leadership for the revenue integrity activities within Confluence Health.
  2. Prepares, reviews, revises and approves Policies and Guidelines for department work flows, regulatory requirements, industry standards and financial stability.
  3. Mentors and develops staff through 1:1 meetings, goal setting, annual performance reviews and development of leadership skills.
  4. Reviews and approves annual department budgets and goals. Monitors monthly and reports any variances.
  5. Participates on the Pricing Committee and oversees the Charge Description Master process.
  6. Directs coordination of revenue cycle activities with outside departments, leads interdisciplinary team meetings and champions change management.
  7. Responsible for hiring, progressive guidance and works with HR on termination decisions.
  8. Determines with IT system enhancements, solutions and upgrades. Responsible for securing education and training for department staff.
  9. Must be fluent in reimbursement methodologies, CMS regulations, state regulations related to the claim submission process and appeal process.
  10. Understands claim form integrity, electronic files and claim submission requirements.
  11. Responsible to ensure regulatory system updates are tested and in place for proper claim submission and reporting.
  12. Works with department managers to ensure adequate staffing of daily activities, review overtime and work load balance.
  13. Attends industry training and education as requested.
  14. Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CPT, HCPCS, ICD10 experience
  • 7 or more years' experience in Health Care, Revenue Cycle, Payer or similar field
  • For CH employees, completion of CHVS for Leaders with 3 years of relevant leadership experience



  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • Epic Experience, proficiency or above in Prelude, Cadence, Resolute applications
  • Industry Certification from AAHAM, HFMA, AHIMA
  • Demonstrated multi-department leadership as well as a team player
