Manages environmental factors for assigned group of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients under the direction and supervision of a coordinator. Maintains safe environment for patients; reports unsafe conditions. Responds to patient and family needs by answering call lights, responding to non-medical needs, reporting medical needs to appropriate nurse, and assisting with transporting patients. Maintains clean, tidy, clutter-free room. Demonstrates conscientious attitude toward duties; prioritizes assignment completions. Stocks supplies in unit and patient rooms.
*High school graduate or equivalent
*Able to communicate verbally and in writing. Considerable physical exertion, including continuous walking, standing, bending, reaching, and pushing/pulling of average to heavy loads (26 – 60 lbs.). Must be able to work under stress and adapt to changing conditions. Is expected to be an example of good health habits.
*Job duties involve the potential for occasional exposure to unpleasant substances. Exposure to hazardous or potentially injurious elements or conditions is limited.
