This position is a part of the EAMC Staffing Registry, our in-house temporary staffing service. The Staffing Registry is designed to provide a pool of staff that can be used on a temporary basis to fill staffing needs.  Once training is complete, assignments may vary in length. 

We currently have a position available for Patient Services Representative.  This position works in various labs at EAMC.  Duties include:  Performs proper specimen collection, by confirming patient ID, collecting specimens in proper tubes, utilizing venipuncture/capillary techniques, and accurately labeling the specimens to ensure accurate patient results. Performs Courier Services for Outreach Clients.   Manages specimen accessioning accurately and efficiently to provide quality specimens for laboratory testing.  Ensures accurate specimen processing to maintain specimen integrity.  Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others to optimize job performance and foster working relationships.

This position pays $7.25/hour during training.  Once training is successfully completed, the base rate moves to $10.00/hr while in a temporary status.  If you later apply for and are accepted into a full or part time position your rate will be calculated based on experience. 

Those who are hired into the Staffing Registry ARE NOT guaranteed permanent employment with EAMC. Candidates chosen for this program are considered temporary and WILL NOT be eligible for benefits. During training, employees will work full time hours, however, full time hours ARE NOT guaranteed beyond training. Employees who are successful in the Staffing Registry may be given consideration when part or full time positions become available.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (must provide proof prior to hire). 1 year of entry level phlebotomy experience is preferred.   Must have a clean driving record.  Must be familiar with computer and office equipment.
