This position is a part of the EAMC Staffing Registry, our in-house temporary staffing service. The Staffing Registry is designed to provide a pool of staff that can be used on a temporary basis to fill staffing holes on various nursing units and at some outside, hospital-owned facilities.
Training will be provided by EAMC and will include all areas and competencies of the Care Assistant position, including vitals and bedside care. The base rate of pay during training is $7.25/hr, and training lasts between 6-8 weeks. Once training is successfully completed, the base rate moves to $11.00/hr.
Those who are hired into the Staffing Registry ARE NOT guaranteed permanent employment with EAMC. Candidates chosen for this program are considered temporary and WILL NOT be eligible for benefits. During training, employees will work full time hours, however, full time hours ARE NOT guaranteed beyond training.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (must provide proof prior to hire). Ability to read, write, and follow spoken and/or written instructions in English. Prior clinical experience is preferred.
