Staffing Registry


The Staffing Registry at EAMC and is designed to create a pool of staff that can be used on a temporary basis to fill staffing holes.  We currently have positions available to work in the Environmental Services (housekeeping) department.

Training will be provided in the various areas of EVS, including the handling of hazardous materials. Those who are hired into this service will have to complete the training at a satisfactory level before being given assignments. 

Those who are hired into the Staffing Registry ARE NOT guaranteed permanent employment with EAMC. Candidates chosen for this program are considered temporary, and will not be eligible for benefits. The base rate of pay during the training period is $7.25/hr, and will increase to $9.15/hr once training is complete.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent (must provide proof prior to hire). Ability to read, write and follow spoken and/or written instructions in English.

This position includes but is not limited to: safely handling chemicals and solutions for proper use.  Safely using housekeeping equipment.  Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to situations/issues that require communication or interaction with other departments or patients.  Performs varied tasks in order to maintain an orderly, sanitary, and attractive environment of care within the facility.  Uses appropriate solutions for cleaning and disinfecting area to be cleaned, thoroughly washes and sanitized beds/furniture when patients are discharged, routinely collects waste and sanitizes trash can as needed. Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, etc. and takes supplies and equipment to area on an as needed basis. Expectations are evaluated by supervisor and /or crew leader.  Cleans assigned carts and equipment daily, ensures all items are returned in an orderly fashion.  Observes and follows Isolation Techniques in accordance with Infection Control Policy. 

Clean and sanitizes after blood and body fluid spills as needed, using proper techniques per Infection Control policy and procedures.  Consistently uses proper personal protective equipment. Wears gloves when cleaning and washes hands throughout the day in adherence to hospital policy
