We are currently seeking a Document Imaging Tech to join our Medical Records Team!
A Document Imaging Tech demonstrates the ability to organize the contents of a patient record and
prepare it for scanning, and then scans the records into the imaging system. The Document Imaging Tech demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the importance of quality control and validation in the imaging system. The Document Imaging Tech demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the importance of the patient medical record, and demonstrates a knowledge of all medical record operations. A Document Imaging Tech reviews the patients' charts after discharge, sorts, and organizes them based on form type and patient information. The document Imager scans the chart into the computer and then quality checks it to make sure all documents are included. Finally, the Imaging Tech reviews the chart to insure that the documents are going to the correct patients chart and that the forms are reaching the required area of the chart. Job Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Computer experience required.
Prefer experience in at least one year in medical records department in an acute care setting. Medical terminology preferred.
7 on 7 off per pay period
Hours: Thursday 4 hours (usually 5-9p) Friday 8 hours (4-12:30p) Saturday 8 hours (10a-6:30p) Sunday 8 hours (9a-5:30p) Monday 4 hours (usually 5-9p) Tuesday 4 hours (usually 5-9p) Wednesday 4 hours (usually 5-9p) Times are approximate. Some flexibility is allowed with starting and ending times. Number of hours (4 or 8), however, is not negotiable.
