Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Physician and receives written and/or oral assignments and direction. Performs required clinical skills such as vital sign measurement and non-invasive specimen collection. Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens correctly, and prepare them for testing. Demonstrates the performance, documentation and charging of EKGs, dopplers and Point of Care tests.
Must be able to demonstrate computer skill required for entering patient data. Must be able to correctly operate office equipment to include all lab tests and quality logs. Documents per office protocol and checks off tasks as they are completed. Maintains adequate inventory levels in patient rooms. Must have the ability to respond to unexpected events and adjust effectively to frequently changing work assignments. May be required to work in multiple locations.
Those who are hired into the Staffing Registry Temporary Services ARE NOT guaranteed permanent employment with EAMC. Candidates chosen for this program are considered temporary, and will not be eligible for benefits. The base rate of pay during the training period is $7.25/hr, and will increase to $11.00/hr once training is complete. If you are later hired into a part time or full time position, your rate will be evaluated based on your work experience.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Heartsaver CPR within 90 days. Prefer 1 year of experience in a medical office or acute care facility
