Advanced Care Practitioner opportunity on the Coast of Maine

Frenchman Bay Orthopedics with practices located at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and Blue Hill Memorial Hospital is seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our growing team in the area of Orthopedics.

Our orthopedic team of surgeons specializes in joint replacement, sports medicine, foot & ankle, as well as managing the care of patients who suffer from a range of musculoskeletal conditions.  This position will work closely with the surgeons and clinical staff to coordinate patient care from the time of injury to discharge. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, communication skills and work independently.

Clinical responsibility is to provide assistance to the Surgeon with the clinical care and treatment of patients.  Technical responsibility requires displaying professional competency in the OR as a first assist, perform and assist with procedures as appropriate within the delineation of privileges, perform complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages, records current health and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.  After hours call will be six nights per month which includes one weekend per month.
