We offer a unique opportunity for Registered Nurses (RNs) who would like to experience the most gratifying form of nursing there is. We need a few people to assist in covering client needs while our staff takes well-deserved vacations.
Our South Portland location has a great position for a registered nurse wanting to make a positive difference in someone's life! You would be responsible for providing skilled nursing services to clients in their homes through assessment, and development and implementation of a plan of care, in consultation with physicians and families. Utilizing the latest information technologies and telecommunication systems, VNA provides you with a variety of nursing experiences, ranging from caring for clients with medical/surgical needs as well as caring for clients with hospice and palliative care needs. In addition you would play an integral role in collaborating with other members of the client care team.
We will offer 2 paid days off to someone committing to 40 hours a week and 1 paid day off to someone committing to 32 hours/week. This (these) day(s) will be taken sometime during the 90 day period with Supervisor's prior approval. If you choose not to take time off, this time will be paid out to you after you have worked at least 90 days and when your temporary assignment ends. Will be part of the weekend rotations.
You must be able to attend a week long orientation in our South Portland office. There will also be 1-2 more days later in the month after you begin. This time will be paid as meeting time at $30/hour. Temporary pay will begin the first full week following your week long orientation and end when your temporary assignment ends.
Current RN license in Maine; CPR Card (Must be BLS Healthcare Provider); Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and VNA required auto liability insurance. Ability to travel in assigned service area.
