The work involves performing clerical operations of average difficulty in the pharmaceutical stores area. The incumbent maintains inventory and billing records and performs mathematical calculations. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the higher level clerical and administrative staff. Does related work as required. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Reviews wholesaler invoices for accuracy; Supplies billing software vendor with accurate dispensing data for application of 340B credits; Maintains acquisition costs in Pharmacy computer system; Maintains accurate and current pricing in the pharmacy, billing/accounts receivable and imaging modules of the computer systems; Provides purchasing with a listing of acquisition costs on a regularly scheduled basis; Assembles a variety of data for incorporation into reports; Provides backup for Pharmaceutical Stores Clerk; Provides back up for Payroll processing. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical pricing guidelines and regulations; Good knowledge of computer-spread sheet, database and word processing programs; Good knowledge of the methods of receiving, storing, billing pharmaceuticals and supplies; Good knowledge of maintaining stock records and inventory control; Ability to deal with people; Ability to maintain files and records; Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; Resourcefulness; Dependability; Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of experience in pharmaceutical billing/accounts receivable and/or pharmacy purchasing and inventory activity.
